Helsinki-Uusimaa region has set a target to become carbon neutral by 2030, and the Helsinki-Uusimaa Circular Valley was established to support this aim. The valley is a community of experts, municipalities, companies, organisations and research institutes that form an innovation ecosystem. It functions as an accelerator for new solutions and pilots focusing especially on construction, food chains and textiles, plastics, and electronics, as well as knowledge-building, financing instruments and international collaboration. As a regional ecosystem, it facilitates new business opportunities and builds a good living environment for its citizens.
“Partnering up with the Nordic Circular Hotspot seems like a natural next step for the Helsinki-Uusimaa Circular Valley, where we work as an ecosystem to generate new solutions, benchmark existing local and regional solutions, and push the circular market forward.
